style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Cairo \u2013 Mubasher<\/strong>: Egyptian Ministry of Housing\u2019s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BESIX Group and <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mubasher.info\/markets\/EGX\/stocks\/ORAS\">Orascom Construction Plc<\/a> to establish a waste-to-fuel plant in west Cairo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The fuel to be produced by the public private partnership (PPP) project will be used to power cement plants, Egypt\u2019s minister of housing Assem El-Gazzar said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">NUCA will provide the plant with the required feedstock which amounts to 2,000 tonnes of solid waste per day during the 15-year concession period starting from the date of commercial operation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Moreover, NUCA will also contribute 10% to the project\u2019s costs by providing the required land.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">In July, FAS Energy, a subsidiary to Saudi Arabia\u2019s Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/english.mubasher.info\/news\/3510842\/Saudi-FAS-Energy-Egypt-ink-500m-waste-to-energy-plant-deal\">signed an MoU with NUCA<\/a>&nbsp;to develop a waste-to-energy project to serve new
